It is for grading and comparison. It does not produce any potentially harmful UV light.\u00a0 This unit does not fluoresce itself and can be used inside a black light box right next to a diamond that you are grading for a UV reaction.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gemologists, Dealers, Retailers and Consumers can use this tool to better teach and demonstrate what UV fluorescence grading means.\u00a0 Teaching both employees and consumers has long lasting value.\u00a0 This safely demonstrates what happens when a UV fluorescent diamond is examined under UV light.<span style=\"color: #ffffff\">&#8230;.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff\">&#8230;..<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It measures about 2.38&#8243; x 1.25&#8243; x 0.6&#8243; and runs on two AAA batteries which are INCLUDED.\u00a0\u00a0 Any user with a small screwdriver can readily adjust the levels of light to suit their own UV fluorescent strength standards.\u00a0 Since no well defined\u00a0standards exist from one major lab to the next, we are left on our own to begin to set these standards in ways that make sense.\u00a0 \u00a0This tool will provide in-house consistency of grading.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Atlas personally\u00a0pre-sets each one of these tools\u00a0before delivery to you.\u00a0 It will arrive ready to use.\u00a0 Over time, you may wish to adjust or change the settings to fit your own requirements.\u00a0 There are small adjusters on the back which can be accessed to do this.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The UV-GradeMaster is a compact and efficient tool to use as your standard for grading UV reaction in the gem laboratory and also a great way for a retailer or appraiser to demonstrate what is meant by the effect of UV fluorescence in diamonds and in other gem materials.
