Description
Choose the shape(s) of your choice to become able to easily compare diamonds while you shop. It takes a little practice with the tweezers, lighting and gemstones to be able to see the proper ASET image without wasting a lot of time when you are shopping. We have found a good source of brilliant, properly cut, cubic zirconia in the following shapes: Emerald, Asscher, Cushion, Princess, Oval, Pear, Heart, Marquise and Trilliant. They generally run 6 x 6mm or 5 x 7mm with the marquise shaped 7 x 3.5mm. These are not “ideal cut” since no vendor cuts CZ ideal fancy shapes. These show in an ASET-Scope generally in the “Good” range. However, they do look very much like most normal fancy cut diamonds that you’ll find in stores or online which do not have AGSL reports with Ideal cut grading.
INSTRUCTIONS: Compare the diamond you are about to purchase with a similar shape CZ sample to be sure your selection is as good or, hopefully, even better looking. Then use your ASET-Scope to grade and confirm what your eyes are telling you.
Note: The three ASET images are Ideal cut fancy shapes provided as examples only.
